Healthy Living Network
Cash In Your Pocket was established in 2002 as part of Aberdeen's Healthy Living Network. The aim of the Healthy Living Network was to promote health and reduce inequalities for people living in economic disadvantage in Aberdeen. CIYP's role within the Healthy Living Network was to make contact with people who needed help or advice to ensure they were receiving maximum income due to them.
Cash in Your Pocket
CIYP is an organisation with over a decade of operational experience in the promotion and co-ordination of financial inclusion services in Aberdeen City. Specifically targeting regeneration areas, and the most vulnerable, we work in partnership with Government Departments, Local Authority and the Voluntary Sector to ensure increased understanding of pathways to help, and allowing access to suitable financial services to increase individual and family financial capability.
CIYP IN A NUTSHELL
For most of the people we help Financial Wellbeing is about feeling confident that they can meet their essential costs and needs from the money and resources they have available to them.
OUR AIM is to achieve a unified approach to meeting financial need, through robust co-ordination, partnership, holistic financial support, better outreach, and community engagement.
WE HAVE 2 OVERARCHING GOALS:
- Improving awareness and confidence within communities and individuals to seek help, at the earliest point of need.
- Maintain and promote the referral pathways to help, ensuring ease of access to the most appropriate organisation, at the earliest opportunity.
